Buffalo Southwest Cafe – Tahaliya Street Riyadh Review

We went to Buffalo Southwest Cafe at Tahaliya Street Riyadh as recommended by a friend. Buffalo restaurant  caters steak, ribs and other western food. Southwestern food also called Tex Mex has flavors from both Southern America and Mexican food combined.

We ordered Rib Eye Steak, Chicken Fingers for my son  and  ordered the ribs as recommended by the crew in charge in our meal.

Buffalo Ambiance

The ambiance is great specially in the family section, located in the 2nd floor, it is properly lighted and there are separate place for smoking customers and non smoking customers. I don’t smoke so I choose to be seated at the Non Smoking area.

Melting Pot is opening it’s restaurant in Saudi Arabia by 2012 as reported here , so to those of you who have tried Melting Pot.

So how will The Melting Pot open up locations in Saudi Arabia, an Islamic-oriented country with strict cultural rules prohibiting alcohol and mixing of men and women in public?

Answer: Much like every other U.S. chain has, by very carefully adapt everything American to local ways.

Having a western restaurant will not be a problem as long as they will abide with the law of Saudi Arabia. There are lots of Western Restaurant who are having it’s share in Saudi Arabia Restaurant Market. Melting Pot needs only to learn the Saudi Arabia culture in order to be successful in this country. Culture such as praying time, separate place for bachelor and family,Ramadan and more.

Have you tried Sbarro Pizza, located in Riyadh International Airport ? It’s an Italian Pizza in Saudi Arabia.

Well if not I suggest visiting and dine in at Sbarro before departure to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sbarro Pizza serves hand-stretched dough. The taste is really great. It is only available in Granada Center and Riyadh International Airport. I hope they could expand into other places in Riyadh.

It is located near the International flight station of Saudia Airlines. They have friendly staff and you can see how the staff is preparing the pizza as shown in one of the pictures below.

Below are some pictures taken during my visit the other day when we went with our friends who is going on exit.

I must admit that this is my first time to eat fajita, and it is good that I come at the right place. I am referring to Fajita Avenue,a restaurant serving Mexican Cuisine, located in Dahbab near Tamimi Area. We tried the Chicken Fajita and Beef Fajita, this is the best seller in the place according to the Filipino waiter that assist us during the order.

At first I though it was close, since the door is wooden door. Inside of the store is  not visible from outside. I could say that the ambiance in the place I really good. Playground for my kids is also an added factor.

While checking their menu, I found out that they also sell Steak. But since I like to taste fajita for the first time, I will probably tried their steak next time. Their price is almost at the same level as Steak House (Pending Article for Review) and Outback.

Yesterday when my family and I ate at Pizza Company, we noticed this Ice cream store, and my kids started to ask me to buy one for them.

This give me an opportunity to take pictures inside the store and found out a great store for Ice cream. Their workers are also nice and approachable.

The store could make an ice cream that look like a cake, you could even put your photos above the ice cream cake. If I am not mistaken, a buyer would only have to add 15 Saudi Riyals from the ice cream cake price and they could already enjoy the picture on top of the ice cream cake.

We bought 3 types of ice creams which worth 5 SAR per scoop, and to our surprise Sprinkles is free from the gigantic sprinkle machine as shown below.

The ice cream taste great according to my kids.

Just came from Pane Piato to redeem my voucher that I bought from Cobone, I could say that my kids love the sandwich and salad that we bought. They tried the turkey sandwich and even it is small, it is tasty and delicious. For me I tried the cheese sandwich with jalopeno. If you prefer spicy, I could say that it is highly recommended.

It was a great deal to get worth of SAR 50 of sandwich and salad for only SAR 20. There is no catch, the guy in Pane Piato told me to choose anything in their list that could cost me 50 SAR.
