I just learn from Saudi News report that Saudi Arabian government issue a ban of use for iPhones and Galaxy Tablet as a precaution since those mentioned gadget could easily be hacked.

The Saudi interior ministry has issued a ban on the use of iPhones and Galaxy ‘tablets’ at its security institutions. The ban, imposed to protect these institutions, will take effect Saturday.

The cited security concern is that these high-tech telecommunication gadgets are easily infiltrated via hacking, the London-based Asharq Al Awsat reported on Friday.

A security source told the paper that the ministry has received orders to issue the ban inside institutions and security headquarters. IT specialists and experts reiterate the ministry’s security concerns and agree that these gadgets can violate privacy of both people and institutions.

Report says that Saudi Arabia is not the only country to issue the ban, but the United States and a number of European countries have done so too at their security organizations.

I just want to share some photos of my Galaxy Tab Dock, I bought it during my recent visit in Abu Dhabi. I am trying to find this dock in Riyadh but unfortunately it is not available.

Accessories for Galaxy Tab that area available in Riyadh are very limited.

The Tab works perfect for my needs.

I love the buttons above the letters. where it shows a one touch button to play music or videos.

I have tried with my Galaxy Tab and it works perfect.

I bought it @ 289 DHS at Plug-Ins located in Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi.

Please be informed that we got an information that Galaxy Tab is selling at a low low price in Al Batha. Colleagues says that the Galaxy Tab price in Al Batha is only SAR 1,500. But be sure to know if it is wifi only or , Wifi + 3g. If it is wifi + 3g , I think it is a good buy .

Al Batha, a place where you could get a gadget on reasonable price, offers lots of gadgets, from camera, phone or household equipment.

We just blog yesterday that BEST cut price of Galaxy taba for 2,499. It was a surprise to know that Hyper Panda cut it further to SAR 1,999. You can see the number of stocks as shown in the display. I bought mine @ SAR 2,500, 2 months ago from Jarir bookstore. I think price reduction is driven by different new tablet in the market that will also soon flood Riyadh Tech market.
