STC will Start Selling iPhone 4S on 12:00 AM Thursday Midnight

STC have sent a text message to those who have pre registered on their site. The message shows as follows:

Dear Customer

We will start selling the new iPhone 4s on Thursday 15th, of December 2011 at 12:00 AM midnight in the following areas:

Riyadh (Smart Tower, Al Ghadir, Airport )

Jeddah (Al Kornish – Prince Sultan Street)

Khobar (Jarir – Al Muntazah)

And in all STC outlet starting Friday Afternoon.

So if you are planning to get hold of the iPhone 4s, you might fall in line in those mentioned stores. STC have not mentioned about the price. I presume it will somewhere near on the price earlier mentioned.

A day before the official launch of the iPhone 4S in Saudi Arabia, Jarir bookstore have sent the information about the iPhone 4s price by Mobily as shown below.

iPhone 4s Price as follows :

iPhone 4s 64 GB – 3,659

iPhone 4s 32 GB – 3,229

iPhone 4s 16 GB – 2,799

Nothing is mentioned if the above price is for pre-paid or postpaid. I have noticed that face time is not included in the advertisement. There is a possibility that it is not included as before. The present rate of iPhone 4s in Al Batha is 4,350 for 64 GB. A big price difference. But for sure with the present rate provided by Mobily other store will definitely make their prices down.

SIRI is the most popular additional function of iPhone 4s. I do not know if SIRI will work great in Saudi Arabia. We will soon inform you if we can get hold of unit for review.

Recently iPhone 4s Price in UAE was also revealed. There is no much difference on price.

Both STC and Mobily will be launching the of iPhone 4s in Saudi Arabia on Friday, December 16, 2012. We have not heard the details of this release. We don’t have idea about the prices or if this unit will include face time or not.

However UAE mobile company which will also be releasing the iPhone 4s on the same date have already inform the prices and details as follows:

The operator is offering the phone in 16, 32 and 64GB models, for pre-paid and post-paid contracts.

For the first three months of service, customers will get 500MB of download per month, with a monthly fee starting from AED 50 from the fourth month onwards.

Handsets will be priced at AED 2,749 for the 16B version, AED 3,149 for the 32GB and AED 3,549 for the 64GB, with handsets available in black and white

I would presume that the prices will not make much difference from UAE price.

The last time that I check the price of iPhone 4s in Al Batha, it cost 4,350 for 64 GB open line. So If STC and Mobily will give a better price, I could see a price drop of iPhone 4S  on different store in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The iPhone 4S will also be launched in South Africa, Philippines, Malaysia and Taiwan and UAE.

I believe that due to competition, Jarir Bookstore have finally decided to lower their price for iPhone 4s

As shown in the picture above the present rate of iPhone 4s as follows:

  • iPhone 4s 32 GB – 4,399
  • iPhone 4s 16 GB – 3,499

But still way far from other android phones that could much it’s performance. In my opinion soon price will still go down. iPhone 4s is know to have a great speed and SIRI. We don’t know if SIRI will function in Saudi Arabia the way the function in US.

We have received information that Jarir Bookstore have started getting reservations for iPhone 4s but the price is really high. They are using their facebook page to received the reservation.

I believe that the price is high, but of course you cannot get the iPhone 4s at this stage in Riyadh in an easy manner. So are you willing to pay SAR 5,999 for an iPhone ? For me, I will just wait fr iPhone 4s to flood in the market perhaps in Panda, eXtra, itechia  or any other place where the iPhone 4 was introduced. But at least their price is lower than iPhone 4s found in  Expatriates.com

The price is expected in the early stage but for sure before the year end, the price of this phone will definitely go down, specially when Mobily got hold of this unit.

But for those who are in a hurry but have some money to spend. You may take one.
