Motorola Xoom, 32 GB Wifi only has received a price cut from Jarir Bookstore. From a price of SR 2199 down to SR 1999. However 3g remains at SAR 2,999

I think this price cut is due to different tablet now available in Jarir Bookstore and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Galaxy Tab 10.1 is also a competitor of Motorola Xoom a well as the Apple iPad 2.

When I went yesterday at Jarir Bookstore, I saw that Motorola Xoom is now available at a price of SAR 2,499, for wi-fi only. 3g enabled units are not available during my visit.

I tried it and speed is great compared to my galaxy tab. The system runs with honeycomb, the latest operating system designed for tablet. The Nvidia Tegra 2 Dual-core 1GHz Processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM gives and edge to it’s competitors.

It is displayed side by side with Acer Iconia Tab.

The unit have a different interface compared to other 2.2 android OS. maybe this is because of Honeycomb OS.

The unit is handy, but you need to use both hands in using xoom. and definitely with it’s size you cannot put inside jean’s pocket.

I like the black color.

We just blog yesterday that BEST cut price of Galaxy taba for 2,499. It was a surprise to know that Hyper Panda cut it further to SAR 1,999. You can see the number of stocks as shown in the display. I bought mine @ SAR 2,500, 2 months ago from Jarir bookstore. I think price reduction is driven by different new tablet in the market that will also soon flood Riyadh Tech market.
