1001 Night + More Coming this Ramadan from icflix.com
It is now Ramadan, during this time of the year Muslim all over the world observe fasting. They do also have different time of work and leisure time. In our office Muslim have also shorter working time compare to non-Muslim.
This Ramadan, Icflix, our media partner, would like to inform that they are bringing lots of series and one of them is One Thousand and One Nights (1001). One Thousand and One Nights is a collection of Middle Eastern, West and South Asian Stories and folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age.
The series is based on the historically acclaimed fantasy folk tales, bringing to life the stories of treachery and nobility of the ruler Shehryar and his wife Scheherazade.
The main frame work of the story is the story of Persian King, Shehryar, and his Brides. It is the unfaithfulness of his bride that made the king decide that all women are the same. The king begins to marry a succession of virgins only to be executed the next morning, he believes that those virgins shall die, before they can commit adultery. Time comes that there were no virgin can be given to the king and the daughter of high-ranking political advisor of the king who is responsible for getting the virgins, Scheherazade, offer herself to become the bride. On the night of their marriage, the woman shared stories to the king, stories that does not have an ending. Since Shehryar is curious about the ending of the stories, the execution has been delayed. And it goes on and goes on for the next 1,001 nights.
