Expats To Close Bank Accounts Before Exit
I just read in today’s edition of Arabnews that the Interior Ministry has warned citizens and residents to be careful with their bank account because this might be used for terrorism purpose. Expats are directed to close their account before going on exit. All Expat’s who will be leaving the country are required to close their account.
Al-Marwani said that it was essential that the parties concerned are made aware of this and make closing their accounts prior to departing the Kingdom a top priority.
Al-Marwani also suggested that as soon as expats apply for their final exit visa, this should be contingent upon the person closing their bank account prior to the visa being supplied.
We just posted this news to let our readers know about this information. Better be safe rather than being implicated in some problem later on.
