Sending Remittances in Philippines Via STC Pay Discount Code
I have blogged our review of STC Pay few months ago, and I would like to share more information about sending remittance to Philippines. But please be reminded that this is my own experience. You can see discount code below the post.
Recently I have sent money to Philippines and it took me only 10 minutes to send Php 9,000 from STC Pay to a local bank in Philippines. It’s almost real time, sine they are using the technology of Western Union. You can see the amount that will be transferred to your account in Philippines. Transfer can be done anywhere, anytime using your smart phone through mobile application that can be downloaded from Google Playstore (Android Users).
It is easy to add and save beneficiaries for future usage. On my first Trial I have sent only Php 1,000 just to make sure it works and to save my accounts. And it works.
The charge is only SR 5.25 (Including VAT). The normal sending rate in Philippines ranges from SR 16 to Sr 22. I still use my Tahweel Al Rajhi card in sending a bigger amount. Because I don’t want falling in line in sending money.
STC Pay maximum amount is based on your declared salary. (Be sure to right your correct salary because you might get in trouble from SAMA for wrong information.)
I cannot say that the exchange rate is lower, since I have not yet tried sending same amount at the same time. But if you will compare it to Google Searches, it is about 1% lower.
For sending amount less than Php 10,000, I think it will be easier to use STC Pay. It’s convenient.
